DIFFERENT PRESCRIPTION LENS TYPES

Long Sighted –
single vision

Single vision lenses provide the same vision correction over the entire lens

They correct a single, particular vision such as close-up if you’re far sighted (a condition called hyperopia).The eyes focus for other distances if pre-middle aged.

Long Sighted

Short Sighted –

Short Sighted

Presbyopia – Varifocal

Varifocal lenses (progressives) offer clear vision at all distances with the added benefit of not having any visible lines on the lens

The lenses have distance vision when looking straight ahead, near vision at the lower part of the lens and all distances in between, which enables the wearer for example to switch between reading a book & watching television without switching glasses
